Gingkos in the Fall in Mountain View/Sunnyvale, CA
There’s a little row of Gingko trees on the border of Mountain View and Sunnyvale- at Middlefield and Central Expressway- and every year for the past ~15 years I’ve been living here, these trees put on a beautiful, vibrantly colorful show during the fall/winter. The golden yellows are beautiful against blue skies or with the right lighting.
Grandma's Hummingbirds
At Thanksgiving- I struck out on any big raptor birds in Oregon, but Grandma has a pair of hummingbirds she feeds year round. They are pretty shy, but I got a few photos of them!
Bird Watching Palo Alto Baylands 11/17/19
Got out around 8am on a Sunday to see if I could see any birds at the Palo Alto Baylands. Saw a sharp shinned hawk, some hummingbirds, a pair of grumpy looking turkey vultures that easily had 5 ft wing spans and let me walk right under them!
Fleet Week SF 2019
Great fun watching the F-35, one of the newest fighters in the USAF, the p-51 mustang, the United Boeing 777-300ER and of course, the Blue Angels fly over SF. I took all these photos with my Sony A7rii + Sony 100-400 FE4.5-5.6 GM OSS lens.
