A hawk at SF Botanical Garden 06/19/20

In SF Botanical Garden, I came across a hawk in a tree being harassed by some crows. It was interesting to watch. The hawk was beautiful against the green fir tree, and it was a banded/tagged hawk.

A little stroll in SF Botanical Garden 06/12/20

I was given a “recharge” day at work, and decided to visit one of my special “zen” places- the SF Botanical Garden. The day started off with a light rain, then the sun came out and it was beautiful. Unfortunately, didn’t get many great photos, but it was relaxing nonetheless to be amongst nature in such a beautiful place. A few highlights were the water lillies- particularly this dark ruby red one that shone with the light. Also, there were a few pipeline swallowtail butterflies, but too fast for my camera, I’ll have to try again!

SF Botanical Garden 6/6/20

Enjoyed a walk around the SF Botanical Garden. Liked the juxtaposition of the waterlily and the fern, the intricate blossom of the proteas, and watching the very cute chestnut backed chickadees, even seeing the mom feed her child. Aren’t the cute?
